The benefit of learning more about my Big Question is so i can start conversations which can lead to great things, which can not only be beneficial in the school environment but also in the outside world.

NEXT STEPS

I will try talk more often without being fearful, and I may gain experience by participating in small speeches or debates. It somehow may defeat the fear towards speaking in-front of or with groups. Participating and being the first person to volunteer could help encourage other classmates to also volunteer.

On the Path

Research the authors of "Young Goodman Brown" and "Dream Within a Dream."  How did their lives influence their writing?  Use at least three facts you learn about their lives to make educated guesses about how they wrote. Young Goodman Brown by Nathaniel Hawthorne Was written based on the  late 1600's. Hawthorne's way of writing gives lessons using literature in a good manner and proves a point by writing. During 1692 events occurred that inspired him to complete this kind of literary work. Being surrounded by strange witch trials in Salem, Massachusetts influenced him to write about important points in life. Both Women and men were charged for practicing witchcraft, being executed and imprisoned. Authors like him wrote about Puritanism and tired writing about episodes in life that were terrible. The Great Gatsby -Classmates questions/response CH 3-4

Chapter 3: 1. Why does Nick observe Gatsby so much?  Nick observes Gatsby so much because he is very wealthy and how is it  possible that he affords all those parties.  2. Gatsby looks like he has parties but with people he doesn't know, why is it that he talks to Nick out of all people and when it wasn't even him who personally invited him to the party? He is interested in daisy, Both Daisy and Gatsby had something going on before daisy got married, he maybe is aware that Nick is related to Daisy. 3. Why did Gatsby just assume Nick knew who he was?
