Response to The Earth On Turtles Back

In the short Story The Earth on Turtles back, it talks about a situation of determination and partly about wanting something. The ancient chief's young wife, wanted a special tree, she accidentally fell in a big hole, done by the chief uprooting the special tree. In that hole there were birds and animals and they thought she fell from the sky. They knew she was different from them and also knew that there was earth below the water and thought they were able to bring it up. So they did as they thought every animal took turns to go down, surpassing the animal from before, but nobody was able to reach the earth. Then, a muskrat spoke and said, "I will bring up earth or die trying', she was determined to get to a point but it didn't necessarily benefit her but she was willing to help out even if her life depended on it. There's two life lessons in this story teaching us things that are positive. Sometimes wanting things that you don't have, have two directions which can be good or can be bad. Also, sometimes people will put on a gear that isn't theirs and try to help someone else knowing that the consequences could not always turn right.

Yesterday ï asked my group members what they thought about my big question. They thought it was DUMB. Ï was actually debating wether to post or  or not because ï thought to myself is it actually dumb? Fahrenheit 451 essay

It's amazing how someone can have make an impact in your life. In Fahrenheit 451  Clarisse and Montag talk to each other. She spoke like someone that has had much experience in life made, the talk they had made him think differently. In the beginning of the book Montag seems like a heartless, dark person. He burns books for a living and it seems like he doesn't really care about books. Before even talking to Clarisse, Montag seem like an uncaring person towards books, and life. During the time in which this books occurs society is somewhat less caring about books. People are more into the technology world.      I think that clarisse is not the mainbcause of Montag's relization of life. Prompt #1 The last line of the Great Gatsby is arguably the most important: "So we beat on, boats against the current, borne ceaselessly into the past." How does this line embody the thematic conflict that defines The Great Gatsby ?        Sometimes human beings have the tendency to hang on to an event that has transpired, Why?  The Great Gatsby by F. Scott Fitzgerald exposes readers to problematic situations that take  place because a character feels attached to something from the past and another is inflexible. Gatsby is a wealthy man who had a past with Daisy young beautiful female. He hangs on to the past, the unforgettable past that lives with him in his future, things like a green light represent what he lived before. Gatsby interferes with the life of daisy, and his presence creates conflicts throughout the whole book.
